PINCH Advisory Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 23.10.2026

Who We Are

PINCH Advisory is an Australian sole trader advisory business operated by Campbell Davies, trading as PINCH Advisory. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean PINCH Advisory. We provide growth, marketing, retail, commercial and customer experience advisory services and business diagnostic tools. This policy explains how we handle personal information through our services, websites and business communications.

Information We Collect

We collect information needed to respond to enquiries, deliver our services and run our business. Depending on your interaction with us, this may include your name, work email, telephone number, organisation, role, correspondence, meeting notes, contract and billing details, and information you choose to provide about your business.

For our diagnostic tools, this includes registration details, what prompted your assessment, answers, dimension scores, overall results and generated reports. We also keep records of marketing consent and withdrawal, including when and how your preference was recorded.
Our website and service providers may collect technical information such as IP address, browser and device details, timestamps and security logs. Our use of cookies and analytics is described below.

We generally collect information directly from you through forms, email, meetings or our work together. We may also receive relevant contact or project information from a client, an authorised representative, a referral or a public business source. Where appropriate, we tell you when information has come from someone else.
We do not ordinarily need sensitive personal information, such as health information, or identity documents.

Please do not include sensitive details or identifiable information about other people in diagnostic responses. If a project genuinely requires sensitive information, we agree suitable arrangements and obtain any consent required by law before collecting it.

Why We Use Information

We use personal information to respond to requests, provide and administer advisory services, calculate and make diagnostic results available, prepare agreed reports, manage payments and records, maintain security, and meet legal obligations. We may use appropriately de-identified information to improve our tools and services.

We take care that published examples or aggregated findings do not identify an individual or reveal a client’s confidential information.
You can make a general enquiry without giving your name where practical. We may need contact or billing details to provide a personalised diagnostic or an advisory engagement. Forms identify required and optional fields. If required information is not supplied, we may be unable to provide the requested service.

Diagnostics and Marketing Choices

Submitting a diagnostic does not automatically subscribe you to marketing. We use your contact details and answers to provide the result you requested and deal with enquiries about that result. Where result delivery by email is offered, we use your email for that purpose.

We may send PINCH newsletters, invitations, promotional follow-ups and offers only where we have your consent or another lawful basis under the rules applying to that communication. Our diagnostic forms request marketing consent separately, and it is optional. If you consent, your diagnostic selection and scores may help us tailor relevant marketing.

You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or by contacting us. We action requests within five working days. Opting out does not prevent necessary communications about services you have requested. We retain a minimal record of your preference to avoid adding you back to a marketing list. We do not sell or rent personal information.

When We Share Information

We share personal information only where needed for the purposes described in this policy, as you authorise, or as required or permitted by law. Recipients may include providers of website hosting, diagnostic applications, business email, document storage, accounting and, where used, CRM and email delivery services.
Professional advisers or contractors may receive information where needed for their work and subject to appropriate confidentiality arrangements.

We may share agreed project information with authorised representatives of the client organisation for which we are providing services. If you participate in a client-sponsored interview or survey, we explain who will receive your responses and any confidentiality arrangements before collecting them. We may disclose information to resolve a dispute, protect legal rights or respond to a lawful request.

When clients provide information about customers, employees or other people, we use it for the agreed engagement and handle it according to the applicable contract and law. We do not add those people to PINCH marketing lists merely because their details appear in a client dataset.

Overseas Handling

In addition to storing information in Australia, some technology providers may store, process or access personal information outside Australia, including through support teams or subcontractors. Our current overseas handling arrangements are with providers who store and process customer data on servers located within the European Union and the USA.

We assess providers and use reasonable contractual and security measures appropriate to the information. Where Australian privacy law applies, we take the steps it requires before overseas disclosure. Contact us if you would like more information. If a client requires specific storage locations, we agree those arrangements before receiving the relevant information.

Cookies and Analytics

Our website and Diagnostics Tool may use cookies, similar technologies and usage logs to support functionality, understand how visitors use our services and improve their experience. Information collected may include IP address, browser and device details, pages visited and interactions with the tools. Emails sent through Brevo may use tracking pixels and tracked links to measure delivery, opens and clicks; this activity may be linked to your contact record. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, although disabling them may affect some features. Browser cookie settings do not necessarily prevent email tracking. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link provided.

Protecting Information

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Our measures include restricted account and file access, multi-factor authentication for critical systems, secure sharing, protected devices and appropriate backup arrangements. We review the protections used by our service providers. No internet service or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. If an incident affects your information, we assess the impact, take steps to limit harm and notify you and relevant authorities where required by law. We also consider notification where it would help you protect yourself.

Keeping and Deleting Information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, agreed client arrangements, or legal, tax, insurance and dispute requirements. We periodically review inactive contacts and diagnostic records and securely delete or de-identify information no longer needed. Some information may remain in protected backups until those backups expire under their retention schedule. Marketing opt-out records may be retained in a minimal form so that we can respect your preference. If you ask us to delete information, we explain any records we need to retain and why.

Access and Correction

You can contact us to request access to personal information we hold about you or to ask us to correct it at privacy@pinchadvisory.com. We may reasonably verify your identity before providing access or making changes. We aim to respond within 30 days. If a request takes longer, we’ll endeavour to explain why and give you an expected response date. We do not charge you to make a request. If access or correction is restricted by law or would affect another person’s privacy, we explain the reason and available complaint options, unless the law prevents us from doing so. If you believe a diagnostic record is incorrect, contact us so we can review it.

Privacy Complaints

Please send privacy concerns to privacy@pinchadvisory.com, with enough detail for us to investigate. We will endeavour to acknowledge complaints within five working days and aim to provide a substantive response within 30 days. If we need more time, we’ll explain why and keep you informed. If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992. The OAIC’s ability to consider a complaint depends on whether the relevant privacy law applies to PINCH and the matter raised.

Changes to This Policy

We update this policy when our practices or legal requirements change. The current version is published on our website with its last updated date. Where a change materially affects how we handle your information, we provide an appropriate additional notice and seek consent where required.
